The Boeing 757 is one of the most loved aircraft in the aviation world by both crew and aviation enthusiasts. Most of the pilots who fly the ’75’ compare it to a supercar driving experience for its powerful RB211 engines and in-flight handling capabilities, although, there are some who consider those experiences as standard and normal expected with that type of the airliner. The Boeing 757 was manufactured in two variants; the -200 and -300 series with a total of 1050 airframes produced between 1982 and 2004. It is commonly believed that Boeing ended the production of the 757 model way too soon. The 757 is now rarely used for passenger flights due to its age and the development of the more economically advanced and efficient aircraft.
The 757 in your possession was one of the fourteen aircraft in the TUI Airways fleet and operated most of its flights from Gatwick and Manchester Airports to a variety of holiday destinations. G-BYAW initially entered service with Britannia Airways in 1995 and then with Thomsonfly, which has now been rebranded to TUI Airways. It was retired in 2019 and bought by 2Excel Aviation as a parts donor. Thanks to 2Excel Aviation, our team was able to produce these tags for the 757 lovers around the world to enjoy!
